Summary/Abstract: Cultural, political and economic developments through the two decades of transition in Albania (1990-2010) left traces in the historic heritage and the continuity of folk handicrafts as well as new productions. The study aims reflections on the actual situation and some problems about the prosperity of folk handicrafts, highlighted below: 1. As a historical, traditional, economic continuity with ethno cultural and artistic values o f the Alhanians in their land with natural contacts with Balkan and Europe. The historic developments of folk craftsmanship in the Albanian territory during the transition and in the perspective have still alive and strong the Albanian National Renaissance arriving today as a precious, touchable, cultural material testifying that Albania and Albanians in their historic land since the XIX century until the years 20 of the XX century was well oriented by the west. There a lot of facts that testify that during the Albanian National Renaissance period was grown the communication of the exchanges ofAlbanian artisan wares with European Turkey (Westem Balkan) as well with the known markets of Westem Europe. It is worth noting that during these exchanges the Albanian artisans left not only models and artistic profession but above all the liberal character, expressing the cohabitation with the neighbor cultures. 2. As apart o f the traditional ethno culture in the modernity ofAlbanian society that aims the natural reintegration in the European cultural mosaic which is developing in stages. a) with study extends in projects for challenge and inclusion of artisan with Albanian seal in the networks of cultural tourism. b) The Albanian craft market competition for export in the Balkan and European markets. c) with the promotion of the cultural tourism through illustrative publications conceming the Albanian craftsmanship and the electronic modules with contemporary standards and qualities. d) with a extend of modern conceptions for the cultural tourism, reconceiving the artistic craftsmanship and their traditional products with innovative aptitude through well study projects and compared with fruitful experiences of the region.
