Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on assessment and classification at the university. The aim of this study is to present the process of students´ assessment as a complex and plastic system in contrast to widely extended idea of act of classification. We conduct our research on the basis of other research projects of hidden curriculum in the school. In the first part of our research we present the data of three strategies used in everyday reality of the university life in the relation to assessment and examination. We consider these strategies as a structural characteristics of the university education system. These strategies are taken and learned by students from social milieu as a social roles. In the next part, based on qualitative research, we present the process of assessment at the university more deeply in the context of the exam result quality. We conclude that the processes of the assessment are based on multiple factors. The assessment is need to be seen also as a negotiable article, which may indicate students qualities.
