Summary/Abstract: According to definition given by Social Science Research Council (USA), acculturation presents all those phenomena being a rezult of existing direct touch among clusters of individuals who are a part of different cultures, evoking a new shape of origin culture change, which is only a part of it, as well as from assimilation, being sometimes a phase of acculturation (Herskovitz). Linton widened this definition: "Cultural change does not necessarily implicit only addition of one or more of new elements to the cullure, but also eliminated and adoptation and re-organization of some others, earlier present elements. So long as distinct entity exists. no society would adopt all, even completely objective elements of a foreign culture. If a cluster admires to another cluster, it will make big effort to become similar, and, if contempts one, it will make efforts to be different". Earlier mantioned Linton emphasises that acculturation may have a meaning of negation of earlier content of life, custom, religious practice, with superimposing of values contrary to those on whom acculturation has been imposed upon. The actual examples of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina claerly aim at balefully practice of forced acculturation and homogenization (baptizing, unnecessary search for loyality, discharge from job, life under surv'eillance, offences, destruction of religious objects etc.) Close to this depend expresion of hate, intolerance, exclusivity, negation of others. It has already became a "style" in our specific acculturation.
