Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with narrative models in Mars, a collection of short stories by Asja Bakić. There are several key matrices in her prose debut. These include modeling of dystopian worlds and toying with science fiction genre models, or more precisely, with that which to some extent can be summed as „speculative fiction.“ The latter is characterized by mixed genre features and it enables different possibilities of critical narration of/about reality. Marking of autoreferential signals in this short story collection points to specific ways in which the genre is being challenged and which are close to the feminist prose.
