Summary/Abstract: The article provides basic information about nowadays Private Military Corporations (PMCs), presents some of their typologies and focuses on PMCs that provide aviation services. These cover wide range from logistic support and maintenance through training and consultations to direct battlefield engagement. The text also analyzes the main advantages and disadvantages resulting from contracting these firms for states and international community.
