Summary/Abstract: Contemporary Cognitive Sciences examine higher order mechanisms of processing where information,is not limited solely to the perception, transformation, application and ways of gatheringknowledge. Relatively new direction in research on immunological systems borrows many ofthe systemic and cognitive perspective, replacing the classical dogma of clonal selection theoryand immunopathological models. This area of research, called the Cognitive Theory of the ImmuneSystem, aims among others to construct complex algorithms that will able to simulate theprocesses occurring in living organisms, and simulations of possible behaviors of the organism toa specific pathogen or vaccineCTofIS paradigm is seeking above all to take a holistic approach presenting the role of theimmune system as a key to the functioning of body image, which is inseparable and co-operating –complementary – to the central nervous system.
