Summary/Abstract: Literary impressionism has not acquired the status of current in its time and even in modern time. For proper reasons this paper tries to offer a wider picture on this moment to restructure the principle of representation. It has thus open field to answer the question whether there are arguments in favor of a correlation between Impressionism closer to painting, with its own statute, and Impressionism in the English literature which is considered quite imprecise. Of those studied so far, I can say that literary impressionism does not have a clear status in literature, literary criticism had and has this in view, but in a rather confused way.
