SOPHIA AND NOUS IN THE HERMETIC AND JUDEO-GNOSTIC THINKING

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyze the archetipal values of wisdom as sophia and nous, in greek and iudeo-gnostic approach. The purpose was to explore the greek perspective of phronesis from the Nicomachean Ethics and to compare it with the concept of Sofia with its three hypostases: Hochmach, Prounkos, Typos, related with Nous and Logos. In the gnostic vocabulary, Sofia is asociated with the feeling of inadequacy and the preparation to meet the Divine, to return in anoikeion- the anti-world of liberty.
