Summary/Abstract: The maint topic of this paper is how to enhance the quality of the work in archives throughou the cooperation with the local community and how to improve the management of archival activities. Due to a MATRA project and a drafting of the strategy of Croatia s archival service development in period 2009-2013 this constatly present topic is actualised. During the production of operational scheme of the abovementioned project, working groups were founded for different areas of archival activities. One of them is the working group for the management of archival activities. Its main tasks is to analyze the needs of archives, to track the problems and the opinions, and theirs improving and assistance in resolving.
