Summary/Abstract: School bullying is one of the most important and serious issues faced by students, parents, and educators. Bullying affects not only the present emotional and physical health but also very often the whole life of the affected students. Numerous governmental and non-governmental organizations are trying to develop an effective way of preventing school bullying. In this paper, we study classification models with which we can predict whether a student would be bullied or not. Once classification models identify a student as a potential bullying victim, school officials and parents can take proactive measures to prevent bullying. We study various classification models and different attribute selection methods, and select a model that shows the highest prediction performance.
