Summary/Abstract: Between 1918. and 1929. the school system in Bosnia and Herzegovina met with many problems: lack of qualified teachers, school buildings, teaching resources, absence of children from school, attempted unification of the curriculum, textbooks, nationalist activities in schools, etc. Representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes were looking to change this situation. However, their demands were not unique and were not an organized act. In their understanding of the school situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, there are many differences. Often they act from a position of their political parties, national and religious positions and interests as well as particular interests of local communities from which they came.
