Summary/Abstract: As a result of economic transformation, companies have witnessed an extremely dynamic development of ownership relations. As we know, the essence of privatisation is selling shares in the companies being privatised. A typical feature of the Polish model of privatisation is the multitude of its methods. Among these methods, various forms and modes of selling shares have been used at the same time. The research results suggest that in the case of the indirect privatisation method, the most popular mode was “an invitation to negotiations”, with a significant participation of a foreign investor. In the case of the direct privatisation method, the mode that clearly predominated was “leasing the company”.
