Contemporary dilemmas in the management of organizational performance measurement

Summary/Abstract: This paper tries to present selected contemporary dilemmas of performance measurement in organizations. First, some conceptual framework is presented concerning effectiveness and performance. Then, it describes the idea of high-performing organizations. Finally, the implications for designing performance measurement and management systems are synthesized. A performance measurement tool based on subjective measures is presented.
