Efficiency of active labor market programs

Summary/Abstract: The labor market situation in Poland shows that the present mismatch between labor supply and demand are primarily structural in nature. This indicates the need to improve the effectiveness of programs already in practice of active labor market policy, which to a greater extent than before should take into account the expectations of employers, while on the other hand it ought to influence the increase of labor activity of labor resources. The purpose of this paper is to show the effectiveness of various active labor market programs (ALMPs). The differentiation of its level may indeed indicate the ways of activating the unemployed, which are characterized in previous observations by the largest level of indicators. These kinds can also lead in the future to the reduction of mismatch on the labor market.
