Summary/Abstract: One of the main criticism concerning the Warsaw Dictionary was, diminishing scientific value, lack of location of quotations. The Dictionary includes only list of authors of quotes composition (or at times titles of relics), with no more bibligraphic information. As a result the verification of ilustrated material is impossible. The main aim of that article is to analize almost 300 quotations located in the Dictionary from the works of Mickiewicz, Sienkiewicz, Słowacki, Krasiński, Kochanowski and others. The study consisted in finding in a sources of internet versions of works, from which are selected the examples, and next comparing the quotations from the Dictionary to the basic text. In a testing material are separated changes in a range of ortgraphy, morphology, syntax and lexic. The modifications very often are no signal. On the basis of sample we can say that , similar to the Linde’s Dictionary, quotations had simple and syntax closed structure. In the light of testing material we can see the large conformity of quotations with the oryginal. One of the effect of the analisis can be partial reconstruction of list of sources of the Warsaw Dictionary.
