Summary/Abstract: The present study advances the concept of personalized micro-immortality and aims at illustrating one of its literary occurrences in the postmodern novel of Milan Kundera, Immortality (published in 1990). Pertaining to symbolic immortality, personalised microimmortalities are projections of post-mortem worlds (afterlives), in which one consciousness positions itself willingly, in a future, beyond life perspective. The consciousness can belong to various characters or to the author/narrator himself. What characterise them are their personal nature, their dependency on the imagination which activates them, and the fact that they are constructed having in mind a „fictional agreement”, between the consciousness as the creator of these constructions of immortality and the consciousness as the consumer of the same constructions.
