Cooperation between science, business and public administration sectors as the main challenge for modern municipal development policy on the example of Kraków

Summary/Abstract: Dependence of economic development of a region on the level of its innovativeness and focus on the key role of cities and metropolitan areas as main innovation centres constitute a challenge for municipal authorities in their work on formulation of a suitable development policy. The purpose of the article is to highlight the necessity for Kraków Municipal Authorities to develop innovation-friendly cooperation between science, business and public administration sectors.
