Summary/Abstract: The article, based mainly on qualitative research (interviews, letters), presents reflections and memories of migrating women. Using drama theories it is attempted to define emotional experiences of women drawing attention to their pre-migration situation, migration-related emotions and relations existing in the area of migrant work. The women examined assessed from the time perspective both the costs and benefits of working abroad.
