Summary/Abstract: The text is devoted to issues of women migrating from the Opole Region. Its purpose is to show some social and economical outcomes of migrations from the region presented in case studies, family level, and regional stage. The basis consists of quantity and quality research conducted between 2007 and 2008 by the author among emigrants from Opole Region. The research proved that the biographies of migrants (concerning their pre-migration and post-migration situation) were different. This process had a significant impact on the research participants’ identity, and it influence on families of migrants, as well as, local society.
