ELECTRONIC TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCES

Summary/Abstract: One of the characteristics of the 21st century is the increasing gap between the “digital natives” and the “digital immigrants”, who seem to speak different languages. Some say that we can even speak about a “digital mind”, which is shaped by the communication technologies and the digital media content. As our students are the representatives of this digital generation, we decided to research some electronic teaching and learning resources that could close the gap between the digital learners and the “non-digital” teachers. Moreover, we decided to test one of these resources to see how it is able to stimulate some 21st century skills like engagement, collaboration, communication, evaluation or critical thinking. The positive feedback received from our students encourages us to continue researching for innovative solutions and to continue implementing new technologies in the teaching and learning process.
