The goal of present study is to explore sources of the stress experienced by Lithuanian teachers. 300 teachers (276 females and 24 males) from different towns and regions of Lithuania took part in the research. The research proved that Lithuanian teachers mostly experience stress due to plenty of paper work and different reports, and low salary. The atmosphere at school has least impact on teachers’ stress. Teachers most often use rational stress-coping strategy. Correlation between teachers’ age and use of the stress-coping strategies was observed.
