Innovation activity in industry in Western Pomeranian Region in 1997–2012 years

Summary/Abstract: Innovations have many very important an economic, social, technical and ecological functions in shaping the socio-economic development of regions. The main aim of this paper is shown innovation activity in Western Pomeranian region in last 16 years. Used data provided by the CSO. The results indicated generally at improving the innovativesituation of Zachodniopomorskie. Slowly but steadily in the medium term growing expenditures on innovation. In the long term, improve the equipment of enterprises in modern of production equipment. At the same time regional system remains shallow with considerable variability in the basic parameters of innovation.
