Summary/Abstract: This article examines research of the „snake bite effect” as one of the irrational behaviors occurring on the capital market. The presented considerations are based on the literature on behavioral finance, although the present publications devote little interest to this subject. In the article there are elaborated the scientific experiments which show only signs of behavior defined as „snake bite effect” because it is often omitted in more serious studies or it is indirectly presented with regards to other aspects of behavioral finance. This article confirms the existence of „snake bite effect” and emphasizes its influence on investorsʼ decisions
