Summary/Abstract: Ever since Poland joined the UE, Polish agriculture has been facing new challenges. Spatial area changes are a consequence of agriculture transformation process. It is especially considerable on the rural areas where there are a huge supply of agricultural land and valuable flora and fauna as well. There are two basic questions: is it possible to develop on the Nature 2000 areas, and what kind of nonagricultural activity has popular appeal. The paper focus on the farms development directions in the region of north-western Poland based on results of questionnaire researches.
