Family issues in the strategic documents of Polish voivodeships – example of Małopolska Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The development of civilization entails dynamic changes in the functioning of societies that also influence the functioning of the family. Nowadays we observe changes in family model and roles of individual members and their needs. There are various problems that constitute a challenge not only for families but also for public authorities. This is due to the consequences that cause family dysfunctions for both social life and economic life of every country, including among other things the proper functioning of the labor market. From the point of view of the public authorities the introduction of a policy oriented not to regulate the functioning of the family, but its support by providing appropriate conditions for the operation seems to be important. The aim of this study is to answer the question to what extent at the regional level in the Małopolskia Voivodeship family policy can be considered as a priority.
