Activation of elderly people on the labour market in the programs of political parties

Summary/Abstract: The aging of the population, which is shared by most countries of modern Europe, is a major challenge for social policy. Demographic changes cause modifications in the structure of employment and become an impulse for the actions of public authorities aimed at professional activation of previously neglected groups, especially the elderly. A form the activities take depends on decisions of political nature. The purpose of this paper is to assess the level of interest in the major Polish political parties of activation of older persons – made on the basis of their programming documents.
