Summary/Abstract: Archival activity is not particularly attractive or interesting to the citizens but the archives are public institutions, which are in a possess of unique proofs of phenomena and events from the past essential for human life, society and the state. Archival document is unique and irreplaceable. It is of great significance: as a primary historical source, an evidence, a source of information and a significant movable cultural property. The primary objective of protecting archives is to preserve the record. Archivists act in this regard, by arranging and processing records and in these proceedings find them a permanent place. Besides they make finding aids for providing more information to the researchers and a public, pulled out of the archival sources and making them easily accessed. The purpose and goal of making finding aids from archival resources, the general and specific ones, among other things, is to mediate between the archives and its customers, serving to find easily the right facts and information from archive material. Every society has a need and interest to preserve records connected to its identity, its values and achievements, as well as to keep them as cultural property an ensure their sustainability
