Summary/Abstract: Passion Plays staged in Poland have a long history dating back to the Middle Ages. Dramatic presentations depicting Jesus Christ’s suffering and death have been subsequently undertaken over the ages. Polish Salesians, working in the eld of education and evangelism, especially among young people, have also repeatedly directed paschal events with the help of Polish youth and for them. The three contemporary, but very different presentations of the mysteries of the death and resurrection of Christ, prepared by three di erent Salesian environments, in Czerwińsk, Krakow and Poznan, indicate a continuous need of updating this topic. Realized with the use of various modern theatrical forms and means under the supervision of professionals in theatre arts, they still attract a wide audience.
