Summary/Abstract: The labor market is entered or will soon be entered by another army of young workers – referred to as generation „Z”. They differ from their predecessors in several respects: aspirations, mentality, needs and expectations, motivations, attitudes to life, communication method, etc. This sets many new challenges and dilemmas before managers. The article aims to show the expectations that the representatives of generation „Z” hold of their future superiors. The authors of the article also draw attention to the fact that the effective management of the youngest employees will need to redefine the role and competences of modern leaders. The article is based on studies of domestic and foreign literature and the authors’ own research.
