New technologies, new materials and new forms of organization of work might reduce old risks, but they can also lead to new problems, for example psychosocial risks. Therefore, the issues of health and safety at work are becoming increasingly important. The organizations need a new and systematic approach to safety and health at work and have to introduce or improve their occupational safety and health management systems. Changes in the world of work pose new challenges for safety and health management and organizations have to cope with these challenges. The purpose of this paper is to present the most important issues of the occupational safety and health management and the most important implications of the changing world of work for safety and health management.
