Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to analyze entrepreneurial activities undertaken by thepopulation living in rural areas near the Polish-Russian. The paper presents results of studies conducted in 2012 among residents of border communities in the Warmia Mazury. Based on the research the actions taken by the rural population and the respondents' opinions about the motives pursue entrepreneurial activities.
