Summary/Abstract: Lifelong education of disabled adults is the only guarantor of surviving for this specific group in the public life and open work market. What becomes the major aim of lifelong learning is supporting the processes of transition (of societies and economies of EU member states) from the post-industrial era to the era of digital economy and information society. The essence of continuous education is reflected in the best way in the standpoint that it should be considered in the context of lifelong learning (LLL). On the methodological level, the idea of LLL assumes absolute equality of all individuals (regardless the sex, degree of disability, education, age, social class, etc.). The article is an interdisciplinary attempt at answering the question concerning the significance of continuous education for increasing the quality of life and professional qualifications of disabled adults.
