Summary/Abstract: Contributions to the study of the evolution of wildlife protection legislation in Romania. The main goal of this study is to reveal an error which occurred almost four decays ago and it's perpetuated till ours days. Many Romanians authors in the field of Environmental Law consider the Hunting Act of 1872 as the first hunting law of modern Romania; in fact, this law it's a Hungarian one and it was applied in Transylvania till the end of the First World War.In the second part of the study, the author analyses, for the first time in the history of Environmental Law, the wildlife protection provisions of the Instructions for hunting operations in the forests and estates of the State from the 6-th of May 1893.
