Summary/Abstract: Many issues such as religon, beliefs, worldview are discussed in media. Thepastors of the Church and all Christ’s faithful – especially those who in any waytake part in the management or use of the media – are to make an ample use ofthe means of social communication. Unfortunately, the media are place of manymisuses and abuses. Sometimes those acts, because of being public, become cannonoffences. The public character means that the offence is commited at a publicevent or assembly, or in a published writing, or by otherwise using the means ofsocial communication. The public offences are: blasphemy, harming public morals,afront for religion or the Church; disobedience of doctrinal matters; incitinghatred or animosity against the Apostolic See or the Ordinary or provoking disobedienceagainst them; disseminating of course of the sacrament of penance andchild pornography.
