Summary/Abstract: Modern companies are under very strong pressure of changes, which result from the increasing complexity and variability of their macro- and micro-environment. Neglecting the need of implementing profound changes as well as inability to solve the problems, which arise from the structural and strategic maladjustment of enterprises to external conditions, quickly and effectively are the source of crises threatening the existence and effective functioning of organizations. It is restructuring that is the way to implement significant changes in enterprises, including improvement of their economic situation and which is an integral part of the transformation of the Polish economy. The subject of the article is explanation of the process of corporate restructuring. It aims at describing the nature and specificity of organizational restructuring on the basis of the analysis of changes implemented in the selected company. The analysis is the result of the research carried out within the framework of the project "Business in science, science in business - development of employees of companies and scientific units in Lubusz voivodship" in 2014.
