Summary/Abstract: The main objective of that report is presented the phenomenon of financial crisis in the first decade of XXI century. The objective established reqiures an explanation of the basic concepts associated with the financial crisis. In the next part of the article there were described the causes and effects of the financial crisis on the world economy.
