The legal notion of disability

Summary/Abstract: A disability is an individual’s feature that is preventing the fulfillment of their social roles. The legal notion of disability allows the identification of aforementioned individuals and it is the basis for the implementation of numerous enitlements granted to mitigate the negative effects of the disability in their lives. The article contains an analysis of the legal notion of disability which is defined in art. 2 pt. 10 of the Act on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons from 27th August 1997.
