Summary/Abstract: In this paper are presented applications of the Keynesian consumption function for the description of diversity of households’ consumption models in Poland. In particular, parameters of linear consumption models, which were estimated on the basis of income and expenditure of households, were used for the analysis of such categories as the autonomous consumption and the marginal propensity to consume. The studies included also a comparative analysis of the relationship between the subjective assessment of fi nancial situation of households and their income and expenditure. The analysis showed that there is a strong correlation between the considered variables and that the self-assessments of households differ according to various types of household. In the study were used a statistical analysis and econometric modeling. The data, which were used in the study, come from the household budget survey conducted in 2011 by the Polish Central Statistical Office.
