Land management on the areas of high cultural value – on the example of translocation of Lausitz building “Kolodziej Hut”

Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the quality of life from the perspective of sustainable development. Quality of life is created not only by affluence but also by natural and cultural surrounding. Spatial order which favors the increase of quality of life is important. Protection of natural valuable areas and urban valuable areas is the prime objective of land management. The term of quality of life is analysed on the basis of the influence of changes in the spatial planning of areas of high landscape; historical and cultural value. Current legal status influencing the protection of high value areas and possible improvements by introducing changes in it are analysed. The article discusses an example of translocation; i.e. moving ”Kolodziej hut” from the place of its first location to a new place; as one of the actions which aim is to protect the cultural substance of Upper Lusatia from the danger of industry.
