Summary/Abstract: The archives are at the beginning of the 21st century in anonymity, insufficiently known and recognized as a significant cultural institutions. One of the important segments of archival activity in this regard is the cultural and Educational Activities archival institution has the duty to inform the public about the archives, archival material as well as cultural property and thus raise awareness about the importance of this kind of cultural heritage. To this end, the Historical Archives of Pozarevac on the International Day archive (9 June), the first time in 2013 organized the “Open Door Day archive” through its vaults spent Pozharevac citizens with the intention of their archival literacy.
