Summary/Abstract: University education plays an important role in overall chievements and prosperity of society. Therefore it should be the most cruacial agenda on political table to prioritise the financing of the education system. Description of particular parts of the article: economic growth of the country in the so called new economy, position of young people in the job market, noneconomic contributions of univercity education, importance of tuition fees.
