The article presents the first results of a research about the study of physics at the universities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially how the Bologna model of studying is implemented. A brief analysis of the number of students who enroll the study is presented, as well as an estimate of needs of the society, equipment available at the faculty, teaching stuff structure and other aspects that are relevant for a more complete insight into the study of physics in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ensuring the quality of education for future experts in the field of physics, especially when applied to education, is an important element for initial research, conducted via the data gained directly or indirectly through the relevant educational institutions.
