Summary/Abstract: The Mémoires d’une jeune fille rangée, an autobiographical work in which Simone de Beauvoir retraces her childhood’s itinerary - a family who offered her the love and care necessary to the development of a personnality whose evolution has not always been in accordance with the demands of the epoch - may be read in several ways. Our choice to insist on the drawbacks of childhood was determined by the fact that, among other possible interpretations, this aspect benefits of a special attention from the one who confesses having overcome several steps which marked her childhood, rich in experiences, in memorable and outstanding experiences.
