Summary/Abstract: Balastology was separated from ecology as a new scientific subject at the beginning of the 20th century. It studies the relationship between people and nature and in the space created by their interaction, the material and spiritual goods play an important role. The main object of study both interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary finds a balance between the individual’s material and spiritual goods in a given period. Balastology studies the burden of an individual in the contemporary society and its past, searching for means to discharge them from a scientific point of view.
