Summary/Abstract: This paper argues for a qualitative approach to beliefs about language learning, and suggests that analyzing case studies in details may offer significant insight into these beliefs. Belief system of language learners plays a decisive role in their success and failure in language learning. The research presents the results of content analysis of 2 interviews with bilingual participants. The paper approaches through belief patterns the differences between learning two languages, namely Romanian and English.
