Summary/Abstract: “Dervish and story written by the Heart” is inspired review of literary and publicist writing of Nijaz Alispahić. The various aspects of some key Alisphić's prose, poetry and dramatic works (Vrtovi sirotog Halimije“ / “Gardens of poor Halimi”; „Zmaj od Bosne“ / “The Dragon of Bosnia”, "Hasanaginica“; "Karakazan“; "Sihirbaz“; "Pjesmovite priče“ / "Poems-stories"; "Leda Saliniana“; "Sire, došli su ratnici“ / “Sir, warriors have just arrived”; "Tuzlansko sijelo u podne“ / “Tuzla gathering at noon”) were interpreted synthetically and concisely. Some of the dominant motif-themed and narrative features are featured, such as thematization of motifs of death, tragedy of the Bosnian man, the writer’s love toward his hometown Kozluk, mystical reflective distinctiveness of prose etc. And in the drama, the author concludes, Alispahić expressed exceptional ingenuity and authorial identity, introducing some original acts from discourse of postmodern poetics in classical dramatic texts, such as the drama “Hasanaginica”. Critical reflection of Alispahić's literary works, and some general features of his literary creation, are completed by reference to writer’s cultural-historical work, which stresses the importance of such work of Nijaz Alispahić, not only for the cultural history of Tuzla, but also Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole.
