Summary/Abstract: Challenges that emerged in connection with the global crisis underline the importance of sustainable development. Today sustainable development is a driving force for revitalizing the economy, the main objective of the investment and a way to create new jobs. The consumption and production are the key issues in the EU Sustainable Development Strategy. The household consumption, the central and local governments consumption and business consumption create demand for green products and services and have an important role in strengthening sustainability of the economy.
