Justification of Statistics Usage in Social Sciences

Summary/Abstract: The development of modern statistics has happened in the second half of 20th century and along with great increase in scientific cognitions on the natural and social sciences it penetrates into the application in many scientific disciplines. In this paper we addressed to the various definitions of statistics, ways of statistic classifications, introduction to objects and tasks, and the role and importance of statistics in science.
