Summary/Abstract: Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is individual behavior that is discretionary, not directly or explicitly recognized by formal reward system, and that in the aggregate promotes the efficient and effective functioning of an organization. The six main categories of OCBs are: helping, sportsmanship, organizational loyalty, organizational compliance, individual initiative and self-development. The following article aims to present the manager role in stimulating employees’ organizational citizenship behavior. It includes the determinants of intrapersonal (factors of personality, temperament, demographic variables) interpersonal (leadership, management style, feedback) and organizational level (formalization, climate of trust), which may be important in encouraging of OCB.
