Summary/Abstract: Raising a child in the simultaneous birth bilingualism and especially taking care that this type of bilingualism stays balanced as long as possible in a monolingual environment is a huge familial venture requesting the parent’s permanent will and ingenuity. We aim at analyzing some of these familial strategies starting from some data gathered according to the requirements of the ethnographic method. These strategies aim at finding the responses to several essential questions being the object of our reflection, such as: How to have the child maintain a language that he has the occasion to speak only with his father? How to motivate him to study more and make supplementary reading and writing efforts in order to build his capacity to read and write in both languages?
